Oaks North

Oaks North is the newest and most active adult (55+) neighborhood
in Rancho Bernardo. The average age of residents is about 62.
There is a large variety of single family homes, townhomes, and condominiums. All are on a single level. However, some condos are in multilevel buildings serviced by elevators. A few condos even require residents to negotiate some stairs to gain entry to their unit.
Oaks
North homes are along Paseo Del Verano, a road that makes a semicircle around
the Oaks North Golf Course on the east side of Pomerado Road.
Of the single family homes, some were built in the 70s and the rest in the mid-late 80s. There is one gate-guarded subdivision in Oaks North called Chapala.
One
other item of note – the Oaks North Golf Course, a 27 hole par 3 layout,
is not age-restricted. It is open to the public and anyone may play there.
The Oaks North Community Center, one of the most active clubs in Rancho Bernardo, is located adjacent to the Oaks North Golf Course at the end of Oaks North Drive.
